I gave a presentation that mentioned that (and other things) in connection with solar geoengineering because that was the most advanced solar sail spacecraft to date and a sunshade is a lot like a solar sails although the least mass sunshade is actually heavier per square meter than an efficient solar sail since it hangs closer to the Earth and doesn’t have to be so big, The coolest thing about IKAROS is that it can steer without any moving parts or at least it could if it had enough LCD panels.
