Not OP, but out of curiosity, could people downvoting/flagging OP share why? I don't see anything particularly offensive, political, or questionable. Even if you're opposed to ALPR's as a technology, downvoting OP isn't going to make them go away, and having open source alternatives likely aids in research regarding privacy and ALPR defeats by lowering the barrier to entry for that research.

OP, you should be very proud of having built something this complex at your age. When I was your age I was still wasting most of my time on video games. Keep up the cool work!

I'm a huge car guy, and I dislike government usage of ALPR, but that's no reason to downvote or flag the post, for the reasons I provided above.
