I feel that the article is talking about the same thing as what is described in this talk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyXRYgjQXX0 - "disagreeable givers", which the host of the talk argues are one of the most valueable employees to have in a company while also being the least understood and often let go. I am a disagreeable giver myself and I have experienced a lot of backlash by the higher ups inside companies for being one, while also being praised a lot by my colleagues that were working alongside me.
