There are tons of features on a car that countries force manufacturers to install, if they want to sell the car in that country. So, no America isn't forcing anyone to do anything. Of course is Kia wants to sell the car on America... But they don't have to install it on non American cars. For example a couple of years ago America mandated backup cameras. Some countries still get cars without backup cameras
