Having a jailbroken switch is the only way.

So every new one you buy is almost definitely a patched V2, and all the Switch Lites and OLEDs are not jailbrakable either, without soldering a modchip.

The classic Switches have a bridgeable pin in the controller port that'll give you ring0 access. But it's only that very first generation.

You just slide something like this:
