> SEO hacking content farms dominating search results

It seems like LLMs are destroying traditional search engines (Google) much faster than they are enabling new ones (Bing + GPT).

Are we going to enter a dark age of search where the signal is drowned out by the noise for a few years? SEO blogspam was bad enough when humans had to write it, now it's becoming impossible to avoid.

It would be nice if the search engines could put the main site for something first. They already do it with their own properties, so it's possible. But they've gotten very bad at it with everything else. For example, you want to search about a car, you'll get some blogspam, a few car magazines, a few local shops, and down the line the manufacturer's website. Now, sometimes the manufacturer doesn't answer a question, but it's amazing how much the search engines promote these SEO articles that repeat a question over and over without answering it.
