Near or totally blind persons can still get excellent coaching, but the most effective method involves physical contact. Some coaches aren’t willing to do that though. That’s true for sighted persons too. There is a pretty easy coaching technique to stop “butt winking” by providing pressure feedback, but that means the coach is has to have permission and be willing to push on the trainee barely above the buttocks. Needless to say most coaches in the USA don’t want to risk it. |
