As a kid I asked my dad to buy a tape backup drive so I could do backups of our Win95 machine. I’d run backups religiously, to the chagrin of other members of the household who were unable to use the machine during a backup. Later at my first job I was responsible for performing tape backups and rotating them. The most recent would go into the fire safe, and the one before that would go with the owner to take home. |
