I don't disagree with the concept. Yet I the reality is many people do not take good care of things. So you most likely will end up using something that is broken or has issues that directly impact the quality of time you spend using it. Other factors to consider is they may not have stock for busy weekends, you are only allowed to travel so far with it, you must pick it up and drop it off at a set time etc.

There are companies where I live that rent out boats, rv's, and atv's and have all of the issues above. I used them twice and realized the quality and experience was such that I was not really enjoying it. So I saved up and bought my own RV which is great. Always in tip top shape, ready to go whenever I am, can go where ever I want with it. It costs a lot more but my time and enjoyment make it worth it for me.
