I have premium but don’t see any ads, except the sponsorships of the creators themselves. Which is a bit annoying but not a lot YouTube can do about.

I don't know maybe auto skip on them for premium users? I have an extension that does just that, surely google can do it too

They've tried? It seems like it would be pretty easy to detect ad sequences in larger channels.
