Ask HN: Books about building with lithium batteries

I often find myself thinking about attaching a battery to one thing or the other - or replacing a broken battery. But when I think about charging them it gets a bit scary, especially when replacing a battery.

Can you recommend any good books/websites about safe use of different types of batteries?

I have fundamental knowledge about electrics but when battery chemistry comes in, I'm down to nothing.
