Sony has also created LDAC for Bluetooth. It supports up to 990 kbps at 32 bits/96 kHz. While the encoder is open source, the decoder is proprietary. [1] Latency also appears to be high. [2]

Bluetooth has its annoyances and I would like to see major improvements or a competent successor, but I'd prefer it be an open standard instead of proprietary from Apple or Sony.
