The reason this isn't getting more attention:
There are 99 fatalities per day in the US from car accidents.
There have been 17 fatalities from Teslas in AutoPilot mode since 2019 per WaPo.
They redacted the version of driver assistance (autopilot vs FSD), not that there was driver assistance. The article is does not make this clear, but another poster linked to the actual reports CSV and it's clear that's the case.
I'm assuming there are more than 17, but we don't know about them, because "redacted"
