I'm of the impression physical distribution is on the rise compared to the earlier days of digital music. This has nothing to do with Spotify, and all about the digitization of music itself. Anecdotally many people I know now purchase merchandise and media as a way to support an artist they like, rather than listen to the music they make in a physical format. |
