Blocking is useless if your profile is not private.

The useful part of blocking isn’t reading someone’s content, but being unable to directly react in a discoverable way to it via reply and quote.
I suspect this is what Musk will undo.

Blocking will become a way to filter out responses you don't like, but others who follow you will still see comments and reactions if they also do not already have a user blocked.

I can. It only shows the account "top" tweets instead of newest, but I can.
Huh! I tested it in a Windows Sandbox yesterday and got kicked to the login prompt immediately, but testing it today shows the "top" tweets - weird
