It's one of those terms that you can't unsee after you've learned its definition, and how absolutely ubiquitous it is in Hollywood productions. So recently I've watched Indiana Jones 5 and I'm working my way through the Mission: Impossible series (up to 2 by now) and it seems like I can barely pay attention because I become so laser-focused on what the MacGuffin is, why it is what it is, where it is now, who wants it, why they want it, and when they're gonna get it. Of course, that's exactly what they want! P.S. Empire Strikes Back revolved around repairing the Hyperspace Drive. Prove me wrong. |
