This is anecdotal, but from conversations I’ve had it seems that at least some companies are realizing productivity gains from ChatGPT and similar tools but not yet firing people, opting instead to shrink headcount via attrition and non-replacement. This is to avoid the negative impact of mass firing on morale. I’m very curious to hear if others have seen or heard the same thing. |
