I have seen a lot of communities shut down / get shut down, idk what's happening there lately?

Anyway I'm not a big fan of Reddit either (except for specific reviews/experiences): Too Politicised (in a lopsided way too), too much vanity content.

Yes, a significant portion of the content appears to be imbued with sarcasm!

For shutdown or going private, I think it was related to start charging for data or something like that.!
