I picked up some SQL knowledge through osmosis by using ActiveRecord and I do wish there was a better connect between what the ORM did and the end result. There were some tools to see what code generated what queries but it was not that intuitive and in your face like for example how you would have to deep dive frequently in your generated front end javascript and css code. In other word I think there are some tooling left on the table that can assist in increasing SQL literacy and comprehension. |
