Sure, but it’s worth mentioning that this isn’t just a Daft Punk thing. Electronic music and especially House music going back to its roots was shaped by sampling great moments or vocals of tracks into loops and mixing them together into new tracks on top of a 4/4 kick. The funky/disco/french house era was particularly prolific with sampling though. |
