The former half of your comment is misleading: All large standards organizations work with anyone willing to contribute, as far as I’m aware. The latter half of your comment is factually incorrect: I’ve been a member of both IETF and ISO cryptography-related working groups and seeing people who work for NIST or NSA is not uncommon. |
