That would be while the radio is active. I would expect 30-50mA with the radio off, 1-3mA with automatic light sleep enabled (the CPUs will automatically enter and exit light sleep as required, even with WiFi connected), and 5uA in deep sleep. Cheap boards like this may use external components (eg. voltage regulator, LoRA) that add tens of milliamps in quiescent currents, but a well-designed ESP32 device can achieve impressively low power. |
