Ask HN: Coding request between departments, potential startup idea?
1 points by eewfdsfsfds 1043 days ago
So in my last job, I remember getting DM'ed by departments for coding requests or help on various projects on Slack by colleagues in different departments.

These requests were not on our estimation for that sprint. I think this could be a common error when it comes to startups/scaleups, not as much in bigger organizations 1000+ employees or so.

Do other people experience the same issue? Tech vs non tech people. If I had to summarize the root cause of the problem, then it is that my previous company did not have its communication flows nailed down.

However, I am always looking for interesting ideas to implement since I like the indiehacker community, is this an opportunity to find some people that also have this issue have implement a tool for departments to make code requests?

Still, this could easily be implemented with forms in Slack/Google or even just making sure everyone always use the designated ticket system JIRA/trello etc.

What do you guys think?
