I suppose that "stigmata" makes for a sensational headline, but it is important to note that true stigmata are mysterious and miraculous. Many a charlatan has been caught, trying to cut into himself/herself, or cause his own wounds in the "correct" places. The only authentic instances of religious stigmata are those which are wholly unexplained by medical/physical science, and thoroughly tested by contemporary professionals.
