Even before I deleted my Google+ account, this was a problem for months. As far as I can tell, nobody at Google is seriously approaching major UI annoyance in Google+ - it's all about the flash and ads. Unsurprisingly, since deleting my account I've had no reason to regret that decision and have enjoyed the complete lack of notification spam. |
