The author of the article is a freelance science journalist not really an expert in this space, so I think it is reasonably appropriate to be dismissive of their perspective since they aren't a researcher in this space and probably cherry picked the evidence they wanted for their story. I'm excited by the potential of LK-99 and I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be a red herring, but I'll wait for the scientific community to sort it out versus paying attention to a non-expert journalist who is weighing in so strongly on the matter this early in the game. |
