If it allows a smaller and cheaper battery (hopefully in the longer term, less size = less expense) then it should make lower capacity small city EV runabouts more attractive. Right now the price floor is unattractive. Many households have two cars, one for errands and one for work/travel, so if that's true it helps on both accounts. |
