Maybe this us vs them mentality is the biggest bottleneck. If instead you consider that this new form of 'alien' intelligence is actually a descendant of human intelligence, that we are raising a new species which will inherit what humans have built (ideally only the good parts) and then improve upon it further.. It may sound grandiose, but that perspective changes everything. |
