Unfortunately that's not true. While not entirely raw sewage, Chicago opened the locks at Navy Pier in July of this year...not all the water in the city can flow to those reservoirs unfortunately, there was just so much rain around 4th of July this year. Swimming advisories were only in effect for a few hours after the lock was open for nearly 8. Things are getting better but we still have work to do. |
