Its not really aquaculture specific advice, but I knew a guy who dropped out of aquaculture after leading with no real experience in the industry.. In retrospect it was a bit of foreshadowing. It's not all that surprising but nonetheless important to realize that you can do all sorts of jobs with no experience as long as you are pretty tolerant about others having no experience, but.. The likelihood that at least one person's lack of experience dooms the whole project is substantial, perhaps overwhelming all odds of success. So I would recommend not settling for just any in to an industry. Look for what you can learn and prove you know and an environment that tests you on it and will test the others you will depend on. |
