Luckily most states have provisions that don't allow red-light / speed cameras in general. And we should keep it that way. It is insane that I can get accused of an infringement by a piece of software. I have the right to face my accuser in court. Who are you going to put on the stand? The camera? The CEO of Gatso? ALPR is done for turnpikes & some HOAs are deploying them to track who comes in and goes out. While I don't condone getting a cover for the purpose of avoiding taxes on turnpikes, I do condone them for avoiding ALPRs to avoid private companies from tracking me. |
