It has gotten better, but it's still a factor. Relatively shortly after launch they switched all processing to only occur when plugged in vs. on battery, which helped from a consumption standpoint. As far as pure performance I can't speak to it too much; I have a massively overpowered machine (M1 Max w/ 64 gb RAM) for my typical workload (meetings/email/docs) so I don't feel anything. |
