I'm curious how this will impact Radon release from deep areas of the crust. For context, a Radon risk map of the US: https://www.epa.gov/sites/default/files/2018-12/documents/ra... Uranium and Thorium decomposes into Radium, which themselves are found at 450m but the gas then rises through the Earths crust as it moves. I could see this kind of constant agitation releasing significantly more at least within a radius. |
