Plausible was definitely an inspiration. I really like what they did - very much so. I've been a happy user in the past, and still use plausible for one of my projects - Literal.club

But I wasn't so happy with how it works under the hood. It was always just a bit too much of a hassle to self-host (because of the clickhouse database) and I'm not a fan of their choice for elixir either.

My aim was to build something simpler than plausible.
