The only countries where American law is irrelevant are Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran. Go anywhere else, and on closer examination you'll find that American law is in fact very relevant, with local governments often bending over backwards to accommodate US legal provisions. Copyright, financial regulation, and international travel are some of the areas where this is usually apparent, but far from the only ones. |
Snowden has to live in Russia, because pretty much all Western countries would put him on the first plane to the USA if he ever tried to enter.
My country extradites even our own citizens to the USA.
