I personally didn't like the new UI, I prefer the old one, and switched back immediately when I saw it after upgrading. I will stay until they eventually force me to use the new one. From the comments in that blog post it seems I'm not the only one.

UI changes can be very polarizing. It was bold of them to make the change. I can understand why it would put you off if you don't like it.
