I remember I had one of the early Android phones and there was a bug where if the phone had been sleeping for too long (i.e. with the screen off) the alarm either wouldn't sound or would come on late. Try explaining to people that you were late because your alarm was faulty, they will just think you're making excuses.

It affects newer Android phones too. Built a meditation timer app. Alarm sound way played too late, when i switched it on. The power saving mechanisms that came later seem overly aggressive.
