Maybe? I don't have or want a Twitter account, but have found a few accounts that are worth checking in on (a lawyer whose firm is working on a few cases I'm interested in, the CEO of a company that has a product I'm waiting for, local police blotter, etc.), but Twitter is useless without being signed in now. If Twitter fails, I would expect to see an event something like what's happening now.

edit: It's also worth noting that Twitter closing shop completely and selling off the name to a cuckoo clock manufacturer is incredibly unlikely. What's more likely is that "failure" will be playing a distant second to Threads or Bluesky (or both).
