I’ve downloaded it, like the look. Impressive how many brands they already have.

But the feed’s are loading slowly, I’d imagine that will be smoothed out though.

I can’t figure out how to follow or find fediverse accounts..? How does this work?

It doesn't (yet). Fediverse compatibility will launch "soon" (https://techcrunch.com/2023/07/05/adam-mosseri-says-metas-th...).

Oh, surprising. Thought they would use the fediverse to get some content going.

My guess is it would be a disaster trying to launch while also shooting all the content onto Mastadon, which would probably cause some kind of DDOS. Probably a lot better to do it in a controlled manner in a couple weeks when they know what kind of load etc they're dealing with.
