I own 60hz, 90hz and 120hz displays and honestly can't find the difference between them. Everyone loves higher refresh rates but I can't feel ANY difference between them and they all feel the same. But I can see the difference when a game is at 60fps and 120fps on all of them. Not sure why

Because twice the refresh rate means half the latency. And in games like shooters any mouse movement causes the entire screen to change, which makes lower latency very noticeable compared to just a moving cursor on the desktop. This is why VR feels really bad on low framerates, the latency between head movements and screen updates is too long.
