I 100% agree with this. Whenever I force myself to really, really do the simplest and dumbest thing first it leads to a better outcome. I get to a working version of the feature quicker. From that, I get more insights. Sometimes I even realize that the simple and dumb version is good enough already. I would say that this is the single most efficient rule/heuristic I have for making sure my productivity stays high. |
