I have lived throughout different parts of Texas most of my life (born and raised in Dallas). The current heat wave isn't some grand sign of global warming - it just gets hot here... triple digits isn't a rarity. We have hot summers and really hot summers - always have.

The planet is 1,5 C above Holocene average already and folks be saying "summers always hot" lol. We're screwed.
Why start at the Holocene? Worldwide, temperatures went up 5C at the end of the Pleistocene. Strangely I never hear people blaming the extinction of neanderthals on their inability to take public transit, but clearly climate change existed back then, too.
Would you like to live like the Neanderthals of the Pleistocene?
