I like the look but it's extremely unpolished (yet). Work in progress?

The search is spartan at best and I could not find a list of all the recipes.

Hamburger menu leads to a links page which is empty.

I quickly gave up.

Empty? I can't duplicate that for the life of me. There should be a register and login link, or more if you're logged in. A list of recipes would be completely overwhelming way to browse if you're actually looking for something, you can search by any ingredient and get a list of recipes.

It's definitely something I'm still working on, but has been very usable.

My bad. Yes there's the register and login links. I guess I was taken off guard by the hamburger menu redirecting to https://www.reciped.io/links/ and showing the links there.

Well it would be a good way to see how many recipes there are.

https://www.reciped.io/search/?search=flour currently lists 4 recipes and 2 ingredients. That, is not very many recipes requiring flour?

https://www.reciped.io/search/?search=egg lists 3 recipes.

https://www.reciped.io/search/?search=salt shows 12 recipes, leading me to think you have... hmm... maybe about 20 recipes total? Not my idea of overwhelming.

I mean, I could register, sure. But it's not even clear to me why I'd want to:

- If I want to find interesting new recipes, I don't have to register.

- If I want to keep track of my recipes, so that I can make it them the same way the next time, I don't want to register and record my recipes on your website, because now anyone can alter them.

I like the website overall! It's minimalistic, no bloat. And I like how you include the nutrition information!

> And I like how you include the nutrition information!

Or rather attempt to? https://www.reciped.io/ingredients/eggs/ says "water 0g energy 0kJ protein 0g fat 0g" which I find just incredibly suspicious. Chasing their citation and then picking the first result for egg ( https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/fdc-app.html#/food-details/747997/n... ) says "water 86.3g protein 10.7g", doesn't list a fat, and the energy is in kcal not kJ but is not zero either way

it's based on effort of the users... clearly they just skipped that part. I might try to automate that.
Thank you for replying! I was trying to duplicate the empty links issue over and over and couldn't figure out anything.

Registering allows you to save recipes & then do meal planning, which creates a saved grocery list for you. I couldn't really figure out a way to do it anonymously without having a list of recipes you wanted to pick from. Drag and drop just seemed easier.

You're right, I definitely need more recipes.

Anyone can alter them, but realistically it's just for formatting, spelling, or adding a picture. It's like wikipedia where all the edits are saved, so you can just revert any changes.
