I learned about this from Red Dead Redemption 2 (spoiler ahead), where the protagonist purchases a pre-built home from a catalog modeled after the Sears Home catalog. What I found particularly interesting is that what Americans today consider stereotypical American farm houses were actually these Sears houses!
