For these things I look for flexibility, i.e., from the user perspective, control. That's the nice thing about OSS vs closed source here. I don't necessarily want to send data to another SaaS vendor's data lake/warehouse/tsdb/etc. Egress costs, privacy, and storage costs. Also if I already have a data platform, I don't want 2. |
