I'm a former Red Hatter. I left just after the IBM acquisition. We all saw stupid stuff like this coming. It's a sad loss, but the Debian (and Debian-based) world is lovely.

As a long time Debian user for 20+ years I have to say I really prefer dnf/yum over apt/dpkg now. It's significantly faster and has much less version deadlock snafus from my experience in the last 5 years. I still use and support servers from both sides and my Debian servers are often a chore to work with by comparison.
