My understanding is that the goal (if not there already) is that you can use wasm tech just like docker/etc. The value prop is wasm would be lighter and have other built in benefits with the adoption of newer browser (security) features like sandboxed file system integration. This would be made available without the overhead of chrome per se. forgive me if I overstate something but this is the gist.
