Funny enough i just watched a documentary (in german) about child prodigies (musical ones) and david garrett said: there are no child prodigies, every note is trained hard. the gist was that a child prodigy is defined as a child who can play at 10 what professional can play but the kids need a few 'talents': 1. stamina and a lot of it 2. motivation/fun for playing music and 3. a ton of exercise. And this blog article sounds definitly much more involved while trying to give of the vibe of 'look i have prodigy kids' and 'i only do a little bit of excercising with them and its just 5 minutes a day or so'. Nonetheless, 30 minutes a day on avg is still so much more than a lot of other kids do and as others said, the bragging is annoying. |
