There was a "USAJobs" subreddit, a few times I checked it and it seems like getting a US Govt job is a challenging and slow process these days?

It is a slow process, but for software related roles it takes about as long as any other SWE interview cycle (around 1-1.5 months).

The USAJobs subreddit doesn't have many technical ICs on it so posters are dealing with other more competitive hiring pipelines (eg. General Counsel, Economist, Policy Advisor, etc)
