I should have been more specific about pixel density. TVs have very low pixel density. I've updated my comment for more clarity about this.

pixel density doesn't matter. what matters is anyway pixel density. your TV is 2x bigger than your monitor, but you sit at least 2x further away, so the angular density is the same
